A primeira família Fey que veio para o Rio Grande do Sul viajou pelo navio Der Kranich (1a viagem). Este navio chegou no Rio de Janeiro, saindo de Hamburgo, em 15/01/1825.
Na primeria viagem este veleiro trouxe 68 colonos e 199 soldados ao Brasil.

O veleiro Argus partiu do porto de Amsterdã no dia 27.71823 e chegou ao Rio de Janeiro em 13.1.1824.
Foi o primeiro navio a trazer imigrantes alemães no período considerado como o início oficial da Imigração Alemã ao Brasil (1824 a 1830).
Navio veleiro de médio porte, de três mastros, transportou 284 passageiros, entre soldados e colonos.
A maioria dos passageiros que vieram para se tornar colonos se radicou na colônia alemã de Nova Friburgo, no Rio de janeiro.
Do Rio de janeiro para Nova Friburgo os colonos seguiram por via terrestre.

Bei den 12 in diesem Buch behandelten Schiffen handelt es sich zu einem großen Teil um Einwanderer, die in mehrere brasilianische Bundesstaaten in Rio Grande do Sul, São paulo, Rio de Janeiro und Bahia gereist sind. Este livro tratará do navio Charlotte & Louise que no ano de 1828 trouxe imigrantes alemães para o Brasil, para algumas colônias do sul do Brasil, partindo da Alemanha.
Neste navio, uma boa parte dos passageiros foi de imigrantes que se estabeleceram na colônia alemã de Rio Negro (PR) e alguns foram alocados no exército Imperial.
Alguns poucos colonos foram para as colônias de São Pedro de Alcântara (SC), Santo Amaro, e Itapecerica (SP). Uma família pode ter permanecido em Santos e outra em Curitiba.
Basicamente o livro informa um resumo com detalhes do navio, local de saída e chegada, data de saída e chegada, e a lista de passageiros (a mais completa possível), além de informações básicas sobre os imigrantes, sempre que possível.
Na segundo edição (2025) o livro foi ampliado, recebendo novos capítulos, e novas informações foram inseridas sobre os passageiros imigrantes, incluindo a origem da maioria deles, na antiga Alemanha e países vizinhos.

Navios como Imigrantes Alemães – Homenagem para as principais colônias alemães do início do sec. XIX
Nós iremos lançar alguns livros reportando a vinda de imigrantes alemães para determinadas colônias, explanando o navio utilizado, a viagem, a relação de passageiros e dados básicos dos imigrantes, sempre que disponível.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
Ende 2016 und Anfang 2017 haben wir mit der Untersuchung der deutschen Einwanderung in Rio Grande do Sul begonnen, um meine Vorfahren der Familie Fey in Rio Grande do Sul zu identifizieren.
In kurzer Zeit erregten die spezifischen Berichte über Fahrten mit Segelschiffen die Aufmerksamkeit und wir begannen mit der Studie, um besser zu klären, was die Schiffe waren, wann sie aus Europa abreisten und in Brasilien ankamen, Passagierlisten und andere Daten.
Im Verlauf der Einwanderungsforschung stellten wir fest, dass die Einwanderung aus Rio Grande do Sul mit der anderer Staaten verflochten war, da unter ihnen eine interne Migration von Einwanderern stattfand.
Aufgrund dieser Tatsache haben wir beschlossen, alle möglichen Schiffe im Zeitraum von 1824 bis 1830 zu untersuchen, und mit der Entwicklung der Forschung haben wir gesehen, dass wir Recht hatten, da wir festgestellt haben, dass die Beseitigung der größten Zweifel an der deutschen Einwanderung in einem bestimmten Fall Staat hängt von dieser Studie auf nationaler Ebene ab.
