This book will deal with the ship Charlotte & Louise, which in 1828 brought German immigrants to Brazil, to some colonies in southern Brazil, departing from Germany.

On this ship, a good part of the passengers were immigrants who settled in the German colony of Rio Negro (PR) and some were allocated to the Imperial army.

A few settlers went to the colonies of São Pedro de Alcântara (SC), Santo Amaro, Santos and Itapecerica (SP).

Basically the book provides a summary with details of the ship, place of departure and arrival, date of departure and arrival, and the list of passengers (as complete as possible, if any), in addition to basic information about immigrants, in most cases.
